If you were hoping to start studying for a degree in September 2014, but do not hold any offers then you may feel like you have missed the boat. This is where UCAS Extra comes in as it provides the opportunity to make an additional application.
This could be a good opportunity to review your options. Did you know that the University of Leeds offers extended degree programmes for those currently without the necessary qualifications to apply directly on one of our degrees? The foundation year element offers intensive and supportive preparation for degree level study with a strong emphasis on helping to develop skills for success. Full-time programmes are available in Arts and Humanities (UCAS code V901), Business Studies (BFY0), Earth and Environmental Sciences (F75N), Interdisciplinary Science (CFG0) and Studies in Science (6H89).
We also offer an interdisciplinary degree, BA Contemporary and Professional Studies (UCAS code L390), which which explores issues from the perspective of different subject disciplines, has a clear focus on contemporary issues and on developing transferable skills and knowledge to prepare for employment.
Don’t forget, you could also consider studying part-time. We offer a range of part-time routes into the University including a part-time foundation year and degrees in Business Management, Child and Family Studies, Learning and Teaching and Arabic and Islamic Studies.
