On Monday (25th February) we held a selection day for our new Arts and Humanities Foundation course. There has been a lot of interest in the Arts and Humanities Foundation course. It provides students with an extra year of study to help them to develop their study skills and their knowledge in arts and humanities so that they are more prepared to enter a degree programme at the University of Leeds. We prioritise those students who have had difficult circumstances in their lives that have prevented them from achieving their best.
The selection day on Monday was an opportunity for the students to look around the University, to hear more about the course and to ask any questions. We also interviewed each student to find out if they were right for the course and if the course was right for them. We had some really good candidates who we believe have huge potential for studying in Higher Education, who will have the commitment to study and who will work hard. We look forward to taking the successful candidates onto the course.
