Each year, during the first couple of weeks of January, we notice a clear peak in the number of visits to our website. Why? Our sense is that this reflects people having had time-out from their daily routines over the Christmas period and then coming back, with a not always welcome bump, to the same routines and the same job. “I could do better than this” is what we suspect that people are thinking when they come to our website to look at the possibility of a degree at Leeds. Maybe this is your thought. . .
If so, you have made a great start to the New Year. Having a degree really can make a life-changing difference to your sense of self-worth and the jobs that become open to you: look at what some of our students say about their experience of study here in the videos for part-time and foundation year courses. There are opportunities here for part-time study, so that you can continue in work, or for full-time learning that could have you graduating by 2017. There are professionally related courses in Business Management, Child and Family Studies or Learning and Teaching. We have also developed a stunning new degree in Contemporary and Professional Studies that gives you a chance to customise your studies and achieve the kind of breadth that so many employers are looking for.
It is never too late to take a degree and Lifelong Learning Centre programmes are all still recruiting for a summer 2014 start. Contact us for more information or if you would like a conversation with one of our guidance staff for advice on the possibilities that could be open to you.
