Have no fear, Clearing’s here

Wednesday, 12 August 2015

As results day fast approaches (this Thursday!) we are revving up at the Lifelong Learning Centre and getting prepared to answer your calls and process Clearing applications. Of course, this day is not about us. If you’re getting your results this Thursday, and/or you’re applying to start at university this September, this day is very much about you. Keep calm; there’s always a Plan B

Friday, 21 November 2014

Whether you’re a student or you’re a staff member, the beginning of the academic year always seems to fly by. I can’t believe Christmas is only five weeks away! The question you need to ask yourself is ‘Am I happy studying something similar?’ In some cases you may be offered a foundation year. Don’t be put off by the word ‘foundation’ as this course is likely to mean you can study...

Don’t panic – there’s still UCAS Clearing

Friday, 08 August 2014

Students walking
Oh my, is it results day on Thursday? August can be a scary time if you’re hoping to start at university this September. If your results don’t all go to plan, full-time applicants still have more options with UCAS Clearing, and it’s a good time to reflect on your choices. Clearing is a way for universities and colleges to fill their vacant spaces on a course. It might be that you don’t meet your offers on results day, it might be that you’ve changed your mind as to what you’d like to study, or perhaps you haven’t applied through UCAS...
