Tuesday, 18 June 2013

The advertising campaign for our part-time Business Management programme begins this week, with adverts appearing on buses across the city, to be followed in coming weeks with adverts on Real Radio and Radio Aire. The campaign is intended to reach as many prospective students as possible to raise awareness that they too could be studying for a University of Leeds qualification. Visit to Leeds City Council

Monday, 20 May 2013

Along with several colleagues, I recently attended a drop in session for Leeds City Council staff. This was arranged by John Clark, the TUC Union Learn Coordinator at the Council, following a very successful visit last year. Parkinson Building at Night
On Monday 4th March, a group of our full-time Business Studies students took part in a session run by Jon Hodgson, Director of Spinnaker 198 Ltd. Jon gave an informative and entertaining presentation which looked at the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and also how to prepare an effective business plan. Jon was able to draw on his own experiences of setting up his own business and the students were provided with real life examples of the trials and tribulations of "going it alone". The session was planned to enable our students to get...
