The following is a guest post by Roland Maposa, a mature student currently in his second year studying full-time on our BA Professional Studies programme.
Welcome!... three years is not a long time, before you know it, it will be over, so make the most of your time here…
These words from the LLC School Representative Khair Yacob recently struck me; a clarion call to a fully engaged and enjoyable student experience. I realise that due to constraints and circumstances that are perhaps beyond some students’ control, ‘extracurricular’ activities and experiences can be difficult to fit in. However, I would suggest that they...

Moving on…

Wednesday, 19 October 2016

The following is a guest post by Fi McClelland, a mature student who was one of the first cohort to graduate from our Professional Studies degree following its introduction in September 2013. The day of the graduation in July 2016 made me realise just how far I had progressed throughout my academic career, and I felt a real sense of personal triumph and accomplishment. Leeds to New York

Thursday, 23 June 2016

The following is a guest post by Roland Maposa, a mature student who has just completed his first year studying full-time on our BA Professional Studies programme. I recently submitted a two-minute video application for the University’s new flagship initiative, the Leeds to New York Student Leadership Challenge. I was successful in my application and by the time you read this will have joined a diverse group of 16 students from across the University on a seven-day visit to New York. The programme is truly unique – it offers students the opportunity to learn leadership skills and apply...
