I was involved in arranging speakers for, and chairing, the most recent of the Lifelong Learning Centre’s seminar series, the Business Ethics seminar last Thursday (14th March). Previous seminars have been well attended and received positive feedback; as this was the first time I played such an active role I felt I had some tough acts to follow. Thankfully, I am pleased to report that the seminar was a tremendous success. First impressions of the LLC…

I joined the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) this week as a Student Experience Clerk. Although I’ve only been here for a few days, my understanding of who and what the LLC is all about is really coming together. I’ve been lucky to see so many sides of the LLC, all in my first week. On Tuesday we had the mature student drop-in, where LLC students as well as staff can have informal chats over tea, coffee and (much to my delight!) biscuits. We’re now in the third year of our seminar series,which has always been organised with the aim of increasing knowledge and awareness of current research and thinking in relation to the different programmes delivered by the LLC.
