An excellent service

I love my job. Yes, I am one of the lucky people who gets to say that. I have worked at the LLC for nearly five years and have watched the Centre grow dramatically in that time. I have seen people come and go, new projects started or old ones improved. One thing has not changed however - all of the staff here have the same values and are working towards the same goal, namely that of raising the aspirations of under-represented groups and giving individuals from these sorts of backgrounds a chance of coming to university. Meeting the Matrix standard

I am delighted to announce that our free and impartial Pre-entry information, advice and guidance (IAG) service has once again been accredited as meeting the Matrix quality standard. Accreditation by Matrix is such good news as it’s a sign to people walking through our doors that the service they will receive from us will be objective, impartial and delivered to a high standard. An opportunity taken

The following is a guest post by Joel Davison, a mature student who has just started his second year studying full-time on our BA Professional Studies programme. The Lifelong Learning Centre Opportunities Fund greatly helped me develop my skills over the summer. I applied to the fund for support with accommodation, which allowed me to remain in Leeds so that I could continue volunteering at The Vine Child Contact Centre.
