Bespoke training programmes

This option is for you if your business needs a bespoke, cost-effective programme that is tailored to your needs. We will meet with you to develop the curriculum and the way in which we deliver the programme, for example as training days, a series of lectures, seminars or workshops, or more formal short courses and longer-term qualifications. You may wish to start with a small, one day training session on a specific topic and then gradually expand the delivery to a recognised university qualification. Delivery can be undertaken at your workplace, at the University of Leeds or elsewhere (residential or non-residential).

Our Specialisms

We offer a wide range of topics delivered by experienced staff covering such areas as:

  • Leadership and Management
Improve your knowledge and develop your skills by taking a course such as Managing People, Managing Customer Service, Marketing or Leadership and Change Management
  • Children, Families and Young People
Strengthen your professional skills with courses that address the Core Competencies for the Children’s Workforce.
  • Cultural Awareness
Develop a better understanding of the Muslim community and learn more about Islamic beliefs and practices through our courses.
  • Personal and Professional Development
Improve your skills with courses such as Managing and Resolving Conflict and Improving your Coaching and Mentoring Skills.
  • Supporting Learning and Teaching
Find out more by studying Processes of Learning, the Management of Learning and Teaching or Special Educational Needs and Inclusion.

Our Experience

Having delivered several bespoke training projects across different types of private and public sector organisations we have experience in offering a professional and flexible service which is responsive to your needs. Some examples of our recent activities include:

British Gas

Energising Teams
a bespoke course on managing teams effectively for British Gas call centre managers in Leeds.
Think Again
a series of lectures on varied topics such as the credit crunch, Islamic influences on art and the history of Leeds encouraging staff to think outside the box.
Management Double Take
a series of thought-provoking paired training sessions which explored issues impacting on effective management such as ethnicity and diversity.

Work-Based Learning

We have developed a successful model of accredited work-based learning with small and medium-sized companies and social enterprises. Content, time and length of programme is negotiated with employer and employees who then undertake projects which have real benefits for their work. We deliver in the workplace and, in order to keep costs as low as possible, work with companies to find external sources of funding.
