There is much discussion in the media of the ‘skills economy’ and need for good quality training relevant to today’s workforce to produce a skilled, professional and knowledgeable workforce. You will already be aware of the benefits of improved performance when staff are critically aware of current theory and practice. Because of the current economic climate, this need to up-skill and re-skill staff has become even more important. However, you may not realise that you can access this knowledge and training through the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) at the University of Leeds.
The LLC is well placed to offer bespoke training and stand-alone courses to business, having many years of experience in working with employers from across the private and public sector to help develop our programmes and delivery of work-based projects. We work with adult learners of all ages and from all backgrounds and can deliver across a range of settings. Our experienced and well-qualified staff are able to provide high quality teaching – informed by their work in a world-class university – which delivers meaningful, relevant and practical information which can be used in ‘real life’.
