The four-year BA Social Science programme delivered by the School of Sociology and Social Policy at Leeds is designed for students who don’t have the standard entry requirements. If you feel you missed out on education and want the opportunity to realise your potential, this course will give you a firm grounding in the social sciences and prepare you to progress to one of our social science degree courses.
What to expect at the Open Day
This event is designed to give you an insight into the student experience at Leeds. You can find out about the BA Social Science programme, explore the campus and see our outstanding facilities, as well as chat to the Programme Leader, Programme Director, Student Experience Manager, admissions staff, academics and current students.
Our introductory talk will give you an insight into what you can expect to study on the BA Social Science programme and as a student at Leeds. Hear about our current students’ experiences, discover more about living in Leeds and find out how you can enhance your degree through work placements, volunteering and/or studying abroad.
This will be a short, subject-specific presentation covering a number of core elements of the social sciences to give you an insight into being a BA Social Science student.

How to find the Open Day
When you enter the Social Sciences Building (number 82 on the campus map) at the main entrance on Level 10, take the lift or stairs up two floors to Level 12. The Open Day will be taking place in rooms 12.21 and 12.25.
