Thinking about your next step? Try this FREE taster session for adult learners in a relaxed and friendly environment. This event provides an opportunity to see a university campus and to:

  • Learn more about our courses and meet tutors and current mature students
  • Discover how you can fit study around your commitments
  • Find out more about studying as an adult and the financial support available

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

There are a small number of pre-school childcare places available in the University nursery. Please book by Tuesday 11th June if you require childcare and we will phone you to discuss your requirements. Parents who need to leave early to collect children from school are welcome to do so.

Preparation for Higher Education (PHE) is a one-year foundation course for adults returning to study. It prepares mature students to progress to a range of degrees at the University of Leeds. The course offers a supportive environment to develop the confidence, knowledge and academic skills to make a successful transition to university-level study.

When is the course taught?

Part-time on a Tuesday and Thursday evening (from September to June) plus one monthly Saturday session.
