The LLC has been able to offer a number of scholarships to students on part-time degrees and foundation degrees in 2011-2012. These scholarships have been supported by the Footsteps Fund with thanks to generous donations from University alumni and friends.
The scholarships, which took the form of a £500 grant towards fees, were awarded to a number of students who were ineligible for any other support, and whose employer was not able to fund them, but who otherwise would have experienced financial difficulties in paying their fees. Applications from students coming from communities under-represented in HE and/or those who had missed out in their education in the past were given priority.
