I am a Business Management Tutor teaching on both our full-time BSc Business Studies with Foundation Year and part-time BSc Business Management programmes. I teach and lead the Business Ethics, Marketing and Innovation and Enterprise modules and I supervise dissertations within my areas of expertise. I am also involved in personal tutoring, consultation, guest lectures and research collaborations within the University.
My PhD was on Business Ethics and Marketing, focusing on ethical decision-making in marketing research. I am also interested in ethical leadership, marketing research, advertising ethics and sustainability, interdisciplinary approaches to advertising design, consumer research, ethical decision making in marketing research (e.g. neurophysiological) and the role of emotions and affective reasoning in ethical decision making. I also hold a BSc in Economics, an MSc in Management from the University of Bristol and an MRes in Research Methods and Methodologies in Management from the University of Bradford, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have been lecturing within the UK HE environment since 2010 in various Russell Group universities.
My wider research and teaching interests include ethical issues as they arise in contemporary business and marketing practices, and their implications for strategy and policy making. I have published and presented my research at academic conferences as well as contributed to a book chapter on the topic of ethics in leadership. I also act as a reviewer for European and international conferences.
I believe strongly that learning and teaching needs to constantly be updated through research, thus my mission as an educator with the Lifelong Learning Centre is to equip my students with up-to-date knowledge, as well as skills that will ensure success in their lives and within such a competitive job market.
