We’re now less than three weeks from the start of our 2014 Spring into Summer programme and are working hard to ensure that everything comes together in time for the week beginning 9 June!
Aimed at adults of any age, this annual programme of learning-for-pleasure courses and events provides participants with an opportunity to widen their interests, develop their creativity and increase their cultural knowledge. Now in its fourth year, our 2014 programme principally comprises nine six-week courses, running for two hours each week on the University of Leeds campus and covering a wide range of subject areas: art appreciation, creative writing, culture, language, literature, religion and science.
Furthermore, this year we are delighted to be working in partnership with University colleagues from the School of Politics and International Studies, the Legacies of War project and the Marks and Spencer Company Archive to offer some one-off daytime and evening sessions on the Scottish Referendum, on Women and the First World War and on M&S and the War Effort.
There are still places available so for more information and to register please visit the Spring into Summer webpage. To those of you who are already signed up we look forward to seeing you next month!
