Following months of planning I am delighted to announce that registration for our 2014 Spring into Summer programme is now open!

Aimed at adults of any age, this annual programme of learning-for-pleasure courses and events provides participants with an opportunity to widen their interests, develop their creativity and increase their cultural knowledge. Now in its fourth year, our 2014 programme starts week beginning 9 June and will principally comprise nine six-week courses, running for two hours each week on the University of Leeds campus and covering a wide range of subject areas: art appreciation, creative writing, culture, language, literature, religion and science.

Furthermore, this year we are delighted to be working in partnership with University colleagues from the School of Politics and International Studies, the School of Modern Languages and Cultures and the Marks and Spencer Company Archive to offer some one-off daytime and evening sessions on the Scottish Referendum, on Women and the First World War and on M&S in Wartime.

We very much look forward to welcoming participants to the University in June – for more information or to register please visit the Spring into Summer webpage.
