I support the programme manager for Learning and Teaching with all aspects of programme development, quality of teaching and learning, student support and recruiting students to the part-time L&T Foundation and Top up degrees, including SEND pathways. I teach modules on Theories of Learning, Developing Teaching Skills, Inclusion & SEND and Autism and I also arrange work based placements for our SEND pathway students. My main areas of interest are SEND research and practice, particularly in relation to Autistic Spectrum Condition; developing appropriate teaching and support strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL; and young men’s dispositions towards and perceptions of writing.
