Lifelong Learning Centre

On-course support, guidance and career development

All LLC and faculty-based students have a personal tutor allocated to them. The tutor will be a member of teaching staff from the relevant academic department and will offer both academic and pastoral support throughout your programme.

Part-time undergraduates parented by the LLC are also allocated a personal adviser in the LLC who will arrange to meet with you periodically for one-to-one support. If you have any questions about these arrangements please contact Vivienne Griggs.

If you are studying on an LLC programme or are a mature undergraduate studying elsewhere at the University we can provide you with impartial information, advice and guidance about your current and future options.

We aim to help you make informed choices both about your programme of study and in relation to your career development. Guidance is also available if you are thinking of changing course or modules or if you need to leave your studies earlier than anticipated for whatever reason.

If you are a mature undergraduate, the LLC has produced a Careers Guide specifically to help you.
